The Black Crows Navis Freebird is part of our exciting ski touring category for winter 2023 and we are stoked on this ski. A proven design and construction is what makes this one of the most popular skis in Black Crows’ “Freebird” ski touring collection. It also happens to be a personal favourite of our workshop technician, ski touring frother, and all round legend – Mitch.
At 102 mm underfoot, the Navis Freebird is a capable ski that can handle a wide variety of conditions and terrain. Built with a poplar and paulownia wood core, the ski sheds weight with the thickness of the base and the edges, as well as the addition of the paulownia wood.
If youโre somewhere in-between in thinking you need a resort and a backcountry ski, but are looking for one to do both, youโre really going to like the light weight, fun, and surprising precision of the Black Crows Navis Freebird.
Perfect For:
- Anybody who wants a true 50/50 between uphill and downhill, all over New Zealand.
- Canterbury crud buster, Treble Cone side-country or nudging around Mt Ruapehuโs crater.
